What is electric blue geckos?

Electric blue geckos, also known as neon blue day geckos, are small, brightly colored lizards native to Madagascar. They are a species of diurnal gecko, meaning they are active during the day, and are known for their vibrant blue-green skin and bright orange-red eyes.

Electric blue geckos are arboreal, meaning they live in trees, and are often found in tropical rainforests, where they feed on insects and other small invertebrates. They are known to be highly territorial, and males will often defend their territory against other males.

In captivity, electric blue geckos require a warm and humid environment, with temperatures ranging from 75-85°F and a humidity level of around 60-70%. They are best kept in a tall, vertical terrarium with plenty of branches and foliage for climbing and hiding.

Although they are small and relatively easy to care for, electric blue geckos are not recommended for beginner reptile keepers, as they require specific care and attention to thrive in captivity. They are also protected under CITES, which prohibits the international trade of wild-caught specimens, so it is important to ensure that any electric blue geckos purchased are obtained from a reputable breeder.
